The presenter will share ways to improve advocacy for ELLs by helping students become ambassadors of understanding. This entails small changes to everyday curriculum that won’t overwhelm teachers or students. Armed with facts and conversational pragmatics, students can impact the narrative surrounding their identity as an immigrant.
