Jeane Slone, ESL Publishing, LLC
ESL Publishing is a dedicated company of quality books for English learners. Our first book published is, "She Built Ships During WW II". It is an historical novel for English language learners at the intermediate level. The novel can stand alone, or be used in conjunction with the companion workbook (published separately), which is designed for use along with the novel in language classes. This ESL revision will bring the student into a very important time period. The fictitious characters make this historically accurate story come alive. It is a fun way for a student to learn history and english at the same time.
This year we published "US Citizenship Bootcamp" by Milpitas Adult School teacher, Jennifer Gagliardi. It is a workbook for students to complete a series of 10 interviews and 100 Civic questions. It prepares the student to read and write sentences that are dictated by the USCIS examiner.
"Tales of California" by Byung K. Chung was just published this month. The ESL revision of California Tales by professor Hector Lee presents English language learners with exciting story content for the intermediate level ESL student. Perfect for summer school or a semester class. Vocabulary definitions are customized to each story, and appear opposite each story page. The companion workbook is very user-friendly. An entertaining, fun, and effective way to learn!
We are currently seeking finished manuscripts by ESL teachers to add to our growing inventory.
