As for Chinese English leaners, they have encountered difficulties when learning English Subject-Verb agreement since Chinese is a non-inflected language. The target group of this presentation is the adult English learners. It is hard for them to follow the rules when writing in English since they possess a integrated Chinese language system. This presentation aims to analyze why this phenomenon occurs and list several teaching applications to help Chinese ELLs.
