This presentation describes a study that explored the role of sentence writing in vocabulary learning. This study incorporated a sentence-writing strategy into an English language curriculum to investigate its effects on the depth of EFL learners’ vocabulary knowledge; it further elicited learners’ perceptions toward the effectiveness of the strategy used.
