Classroom Instruction That Works with English Language Learners, second edition (Hill & Miller, 2014) contains nine categories of research-based strategies. This workshop will take one of the strategies, Nonlinguistic Representations, and apply it to the teaching and learning of vocabulary. Participates will engage in a simulation for learning new vocabulary.
