Liz Schuler is currently an instructor in the ESL Departments at Cañada College and College of San Mateo as well as the Professional Coordinator at College of San Mateo. In addition, she has taught ESL Literacy and Citizenship at Sequoia Adult School in Redwood City. Prior to teaching, Liz worked in the nonprofit sector as Program Manager managing Wired for Good, Best Practice Exchanges, and Executive Roundtables at the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits. Before that, she was a Project Associate at Vesper Society where she developed curriculum and provided training for nonprofit organizations domestically and internationally on technology planning, Internet skills, and online leadership. Additionally, she worked as an Associate Producer at CNET's Download.com. Liz also served for two years in the Peace Corps as a high school English teacher in Gabon, Central Africa. She holds a B.A. in English from Cal State Fullerton and an M.A. in English with an emphasis in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from San Francisco State University. Liz lives with her husband and two children in Redwood City.
